Biography

I am currently investigating the visual system in humans and macaques using MRI and fMRI. In particular I am looking at face, object and scene perception in the ventral stream, and retinotopy in both primary visual cortex and in higher areas. I am also pursuing human fMRI at high resolution (sub-millimeter) and field strength (7 Tesla). My background is in cognitive psychology and neuroscience, particularly in the visual system. I am also generally interested in attention and decision making.

I attended the University of Massachusettes in Amherst as an undergraduate and I am fortunate to have studied under both Katherine Fite and Kyle Cave during my time there, as well as a number of talented graduate students. I am currently a research assistant for Roger Tootell at the AA Martinos Biomedical Imaging Center in Charlestown, MA
